Squash at Hallamshire
From a friendly knockabout to a fast-paced face-off, our squash courts are designed for every game. We’re proud to field teams across the region, and support juniors, beginners (and anyone wanting to improve their skills) with lessons and coaching.
As well as external competitions, we have box leagues that are free for any member to join, and offer visitor passes for those who want to try before signing up to a full membership.
Our facilities
Our nine squash courts have LED lighting and underfloor heating for ultimate comfort. Five of them are glass-backed, perfect for bringing your mates, parents and partners to watch safely from the sidelines.
Coaching
It doesn’t matter what your experience, ability or ambition is, our in-house coaches help everyone from beginners, advanced players and juniors improve their skills on the court. Sign up for a free trial, one-off session or ongoing subscription.
Box leagues
Join our squash box leagues to see how you fare against other players. It’s free for members to join, just ask at reception or email info@hallamshire.net to find out how to get involved.
Teams
We field teams in both the local Sheffield and District League and the Yorkshire League. We have 14 teams covering open (mixed), women’s and juniors in the S&D league, and two in Yorkshire, both in division one and Premier Division.
Holiday camps
During the summer holidays we offer multi-racket holiday camps where kids can try their hand at squash (as well as racketball, tennis and padel). You can book by the day or week, and opt for an early drop-off if needed.
Visitors
If you’re wanting to try squash for the first time, or looking for a new place to practice, you can make use of our visitor passes to give it a go before signing up to a membership.
You can play as a visitor up to five times in a year, between 8.30am-8.30pm Monday to Friday. Just ask at reception.
