Racketball at Hallamshire
With a larger, bouncier ball, racketball is more accessible than squash, with longer rallies that make for a fun knockabout and great workout for all ages.
As well as having teams in the Sheffield and District League, our box leagues are open to all members for those up for more competitive play. We also welcome visitors to give racketball a go. Even if you’ve not tried it before, it’s a sport that people always say is easy to learn (but trickier to master…)
Our facilities
Played on the same courts as our squash members, we have nine racketball courts with underfloor heating and LED lighting, five of which are glass-backed with seating for spectators, friends and teammates.
Coaching
Our in-house coaches help beginners, advanced and junior players with one-to-one and team racketball sessions. Ask at reception to speak to a coach and see how they can support your game.
Box leagues
Join our racketball box leagues — it’s free for members, just ask at reception or email info@hallamshire.net for information about getting involved.
Events
We bring people together on the courts, in our clubhouse and across the sun-soaked terrace with themed tournaments, charity fundraisers, quizzes and socials. See what’s coming up soon.
Teams
We’ve got three open (mixed) racketball teams in the Sheffield and District League and are always looking for talented players who are up for the challenge.
Holiday camps
We offer multi-racket holiday camps during the holidays, where kids can have a go at racketball, among the other sports we offer. Book by the day or week, and choose early drop-off when you need it.
Visitors
Make use of our visitors passes to try racketball before signing up to a membership. You can play as a visitor up to five times in a year, between 8.30am-8.30pm Monday to Friday. Just ask at reception.
